Working Sheep Dogs
At Leault Farm, near Aviemore in Scotland's Speyside Whisky region, you can visit a sheep farm and watch the Border Collies at work. After demonstrating the dog' straining and skills, the shepherd will show you how to shear a sheep (volunteers welcome) and then let you feed the lambs.
Demonstrations start at 4:00 pm, every day except Saturday, and are £5 per person. Arrive about 15 minutes early to get parked and find a rock on which to perch.
